Guide to Accor Membership Benefits

How can you maximize your Accor member benefits? Here, GTV summarizes some tips for you.

  • Bill all hotel expenses to your room.

This strategy is commonly used across various hotel groups. Rather than paying directly for expenses like breakfast, room upgrades, gift shop purchases, or laundry services, ask these to be charged to your room. This lets you settle the bill at check-out and convert all expenses into points for your account.

Furthermore, if you dine at the hotel’s restaurant without staying overnight, present your membership card. Request the staff to add your dining expenses to your account.

  • Accor membership benefits include additional upgrade privileges for hotels in mainland China.

For instance, gold card members receive a complimentary breakfast for one person at hotels within Greater China.

What Are the Uses of Accor Live Limitless Points?

Accor points are divided into Rewards Points and Status Points.

Accor Status Points, as implied, determine membership levels and accumulate based on actual stays and nights. You can maintain your current membership level by staying at least once a year.

Accor Reward Points can be viewed as vouchers, usable for direct deductions on room or meal expenses. Unlike other hotel groups, Accor Hotels points have a fixed exchange rate and can be used directly as cash.

2,000 Rewards points = €40

The main purpose of hotel group points is to redeem a free night. I particularly appreciate Accor points because of their fixed redemption standard. There’s no need to check the category level or off-peak season, making them as easy to use as a voucher.

The simplest way to use points is to tell the front desk at checkout that you want to use points to offset your hotel consumption, and then pay any remaining fees in cash. It’s very convenient.

In addition to redeeming free nights, points can also be used to redeem vacation packages, air miles, or for shopping. For more details, refer to the Accor Hotels Points Guide.

Is it worth using Accor points for free rooms?

To answer this question, we’ll perform some simple calculations. For instance, if a two-day hotel stay costs around €100, even with a silver card, you can earn 330 points. These points equate to approximately €7, similar to receiving a €7 voucher from the hotel.

What happens if you participate in the 4x points event? Using the same example, if you spend €100 for a two-day stay, you can directly earn 1320 points. This translates to hotel vouchers worth nearly €26. After rounding, your stay costs only about €74.

How to Earn Accor Live Limitless Points?

Undoubtedly, the primary method of earning points is by Staying at Accor hotels.

For every 10 euros spent at an Accor hotel, you’ll earn 31 bonus points with a Silver Card, 37 with a Gold Card, and 44 with a Platinum Card or higher. As your membership level advances, you accumulate more points.

Before booking an Accor hotel, it’s recommended to sign up for a free Accor membership. All hotel expenses, including catering and laundry, can then be charged to your room account.

You can also participate in Accor’s point promotions. For instance, during the double points event, you can earn double points on any stay at participating Accor hotels.

Earning Accor Points through Dining

You can earn ALL rewards points by dining at participating bars and restaurants, even without staying at the hotels. Just ask hotel staff to accumulate points for you.
